About Time and Space

There are some areas of our lives that we feel we would like to improve but we just don’t seem to be able to make the changes necessary. No matter how we try we seem to remain stuck in the same groove.

Counselling offers an opportunity to look at the problem areas of our lives, in a safe and confidential environment, with time and space to explore ways that we might effect the changes we desire.

It offers no magic wand solution but is a journey that the counsellor and client take together, at the client’s pace. I believe that the power of healing comes both from within and without, as well as from the unique relationship between client and counsellor.  I work with whatever the client brings, meeting them where they are and attempting to ‘walk in their shoes’ and truly understand their experience.  In this way, I work with the client to empower them to find the answers for themselves, which brings about a deeper healing.

I trained to work integratively, drawing on mainly psychodynamic and humanistic approaches, adapting my approach to each individual client and the unique therapeutic relationship between us.
